Yves Rüedi was born in 1976. He graduated from the University of St.Gallen (lic.iur., 2002; Dr.iur., 2009) and was admitted to the bar in 2005. He has joined Pestalozzi's Litigation and Arbitration group in Zurich in 2002.

Yves Rüedi has experience as a lecturer at the University of St.Gallen and the University of Luzern. He also lectures at legal seminars and publishes in various fields of law.

Since 2006, Yves Rüedi holds the office of President of the High Court of the Canton of Glarus. He also presides over the Administrative Commission of the Courts of the Canton of Glarus. In 2008, he has been elected President of the Bar Commission and the Bar Examination Commission of the Canton of Glarus.

In 2011, the Swiss Federal Assembly has appointed Yves Rüedi as an adjunct judge of the Swiss Federal Supreme Court which is the highest court in Switzerland.

He practices in German, English and French.
