Phillip Schmidt is an associate and member of Pestalozzi's IP & TMT as well as Corporate/M&A groups in Zurich. His main areas of practice are intellectual property, food and healthcare law, IT and technology law, data protection, unfair competition, and commercial and general contract law.
Phillip Schmidt graduated from University of St. Gallen in 2004 (Bachelor of Arts HSG in Business Administration) and 2009 (Master of Arts HSG in Law and Economics) and holds a CEMS Master's in International Management from the University of St. Gallen and the Stockholm School of Economics. He was admitted to the bar in Switzerland in 2011.
Prior to joining Pestalozzi as a junior associate in 2008, he held positions as business analyst both in India and Switzerland and gained work experience in the IP department of a multinational chemicals company in the USA. After his admission to the Swiss bar he rejoined Pestalozzi as an associate. His native languages are German and English. He also speaks French.
