Michael Lazopoulos is an associate and member of Pestalozzi's Litigation and Arbitration group in Zurich. He has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial disputes related to, amongst other things, private banking, international commodity trade, liability cases and insolvency law. Michael Lazopoulos acts both as arbitrator and as counsel to parties before domestic and international arbitration tribunals and state courts.
Michael Lazopoulos, born 1974, studied at the University of Fribourg and the University of Zurich (lic. iur., 2000; Dr. iur., 2004, with a published doctoral thesis on corporate law) as well as at the University of New South Wales, Sydney (LL.M. in corporate and commercial law, 2007). From 2001 to 2002 he worked as a junior associate at a Swiss business law firm. In 2003, he was admitted to the Swiss bar. Prior to joining Pestalozzi, Michael Lazopoulos practiced as an associate at a Zurich business law firm. He also gained experience working for a major Australian law firm in Sydney.
