Jean Patry is a counsel and member of Pestalozzi’s Banking & Finance as well as Litigation & Arbitration groups in Geneva. Jean Patry’s areas of practice are litigation, corporate, banking and contract law. He has extensive experience as a lawyer and negotiator in international commercial and financial matters.
Jean Patry was born in 1939. He graduated from the University of Geneva in 1964 (lic.iur.) and was admitted to the bar in 1968. After completing a traineeship at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LPP in New York (USA), he joined a Geneva law firm as an independent lawyer. In 1992 he led his firm to a merger with Zurich-based Pestalozzi Gmuer & Heiz to become the second Swiss law firm with offices in the two Swiss metropoles, Zurich and Geneva. He practices and publishes in French, English, German and Spanish. Alongside his professional activities, Jean Patry is interested in the promotion of education and professional development of the young.
