Christian F. Brauchlin is an associate and member of Pestalozzi’s Corporate | M&A group as well as the Competition & Trade group in Zurich. His main practice areas are general corporate, M&A and private equity as well as Swiss and European antitrust law with a particular focus on merger control.
Christian F. Brauchlin, born in 1974, studied law at the University of St.Gallen (lic. iur., 2000) where he received a doctorate for his thesis on cross-border mergers (Dr. iur., “very good”, 2004). He studied for an MBA at IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain), as well as at Manchester Business School (MBA, 2010). He clerked in the legal department of the Construction Department of the Canton St.Gallen, as well as at the Cantonal and Commercial Court of the Canton St.Gallen. Christian F. Brauchlin was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 2001. From 2002 to 2004, he worked as a research assistant at the University of St.Gallen in the Department of Finance and Corporate Law. Prior to joining Pestalozzi, he worked at a major business law firm as an associate. He is a member of the Zurich and Swiss Bar Associations, as well as the "Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht". His professional languages are German and English, he also speaks French.
