Alain Le Fort is a partner and member of Pestalozzi's Corporate / M&A as well as Litigation & Arbitration groups in Geneva. His areas of practice are corporate and commercial, banking law and dispute resolution. Alain Le Fort has long experience in international asset tracing.
Alain Le Fort was born in 1953. He graduated from the University of Geneva in 1975 (lic.iur.) and was admitted to the bar in 1977. Alain Le Fort participated in the Credit Training and Development Program in New York (USA) in 1978. He worked as a junior associate in the shipping department of a law firm in Memphis, Tennessee (USA). Alain Le Fort became an associate with Pestalozzi in 1979, where he is a partner since 1983. Alain Le Fort is a member of the Board of the Geneva Bar Association since 1998 and has been Chairman of the Board from April 2004 to March 2006. He is a member of the Board of the Swiss Bar Association since June 2007, a member of the International Association of Lawyers/UIA since 2004 and President of the Swiss National Committee of UIA since October 2008. He practices in French and English and has a basic knowledge of German.
